Reimbursement of Attendant Care Expenses
A disabled state employee actually incurs the expenses for attendant care. The supporting documentation for the reimbursement of attendant care expenses must indicate that the state employee involved has a disability and that the attendant care was necessary. The documentation must also include the name of the attendant, as well as complete, unaltered receipts for the attendant’s expenses.
A receipt that has been changed by the provider of the receipt is considered unaltered. In addition, a receipt that additional information has been added to is considered unaltered if the additional information does not conflict with the original information on the receipt.
