USAS User’s Manual
Chapter 12 – Understanding Financial Tables (continued)

USAS Reports

Generating Reports

USAS uses the data in the financial tables to generate financial reports. Reports and inquiry screens are much alike in how they retrieve data from the financial tables. For both, users specify the type(s) of financial data they want to see. USAS then retrieves data from the financial table(s) that store it.

D64 Report Control Profile

Knowing the posting levels of data in a financial table is just as important to generating reports as it is to accessing data from an inquiry screen. Some reports allow users to specify the levels at which they want to access data. The D64 Report Control Profile indicates the valid levels for requesting a report. The profile also indicates the table from which USAS generates the report. Highlighted in the following example are the valid levels at which users can select data. If a level other than those shown in the D64 profile is selected, the system will not generate a report. Valid reporting levels are listed on the next page.
