USAS User’s Manual –
Chapter 12 – Understanding Financial Tables
Overview of USAS Financial Tables
About this Chapter
This chapter explains the purpose of USAS primary and secondary financial tables; the organization of the primary financial tables; how USAS posts transaction data to different primary tables; how USAS performs funding edits and why they are important; and how USAS retrieves data from financial tables using the access paths and reporting levels entered.
Function of Tables
The USAS financial tables function as the databases of USAS. The tables capture, accumulate, and store the accounting and financial data entered into USAS. With financial tables, USAS organizes the accounting and financial data entered and thereby provides quick access and editing capabilities.
Types of Tables
There are two types of financial tables in USAS:
- Primary financial tables
- Secondary financial tables
