26 Program Cost Account Profile

Purpose of the 26 Program Cost Account Profile

The 26 Program Cost Account Profile updates the Strategic/Program Structure to allow for tracking of revenues and expenditures for agency goals, objectives, and strategies, as well as administrative and support costs, and other activity. PCA infers Strategic/Program Structure. The 26 Program Cost Account Profile must be established by each agency.

The 26 Profile can be used to infer elements required to update other USAS structures; for example, Appropriation Number to update the Appropriation Structure. For institutions of higher education, NACUBO must be inferred on the 26 Profile since it cannot be manually entered in transaction entry.

PCAs 99900–99904 are restricted to central agency use. PCA 99900 is established as a default PCA for deposit adjustments. 99901 is established as a default PCA for return checks. 99902 is established as a default PCA for depository interest. 99903 is established as a default PCA for warrants voided by statute of limitations. 99904 is a default PCA for FACTS cancellations.
