D23 Fund Profile

Purpose of the D23 Fund Profile

The D23 Fund Profile enables a transaction to be recorded to both the State Appropriated Fund (fiscal management) and the GAAP Fund (accounting and reporting) data classification structures. Cash control of a fund at either the state or the agency level is set on the D23 Profile. Also included on this profile are indicators that show the fund level at which appropriations, agency budgets, and cash control are recorded to the financial tables and thereby controlled.

The D23 Profile must be established by each agency. However, the Agency Fund range 8000–9999 is reserved for central agency use only. Agency Funds 8000–8999 are established for Treasury Allocation of depository interest. Fund 9000 is established as the default fund for Treasury deposits. Fund 9001 is established as the default fund for return checks.

Note: One Agency Fund must be established for each unique combination of Appropriated Fund and GAAP Fund/GAAP Fund Type.
