DO3 Organization Code Profile
Purpose of the D03 Organization Structure Profile
The D03 Organization Code Profile establishes agency Organization Structure. The Organization Structure allows for dividing the agency into business units (departments, divisions, geographical regions, etc.).
An agency must create the D03 Profile if one of the following conditions is met:
- Agency internal budgets are maintained and controlled by the organization structure (determined on the 25 Agency Control Profile).
- Agency controls appropriations at the organization level. Current state policy prohibits this.
- Agency uses the Cost Allocation subsystem in USAS.
Note: A minimum of one D03 Profile must be established at Level 1, Agency level, of the Organization Structure if any of the above conditions are met.

Highlighted Element
- Reports to Org
- Indicates the higher-level organization code that the organization code in the record key reports to.
Note: When changes are made to the ‘Reports to Org’ field of a higher-level organization code, lower-level organization codes reporting to that higher level code are not automatically updated. The user must also recall and change lower level codes accordingly. If the D03 Profile is not established at a consistent level, it could cause reporting problems.
