HMGU1 – Extending a Job Offer to an Applicant

Step Action
1 Access HMGU1.
2 Enter R in the SUBCOMMAND field.

Enter the following fields as required:

Note: The applicant must have been previously assigned to a posting on this screen.

AGENCY (Key)
POSTING (Key)
Enter the agency-defined posting identification number.
POSTING EFF DT (Key)
Enter the date the posting becomes effective.
APPLICANT NO (Key)
Enter the applicant identification number from HMFU1 (Applicant Identification).
APPLICATION STAT (Required)
Enter a value to indicate the applicant’s status regarding a posting. This field defaults to previously entered data. Press F2 twice for values (Decode Table 800).
STATUS DATE (Required)
Enter the current date. This field defaults to the system date the first time an application is entered. When the hiring status changes, a new date must be entered.
PROJECTED START DATE (Optional)
The employee’s projected start date. If the date exists on HMGU1, this field can be changed. If blank, this field is protected and the date must be entered on HMGU2.
OFFER SAL/RATE (Required)
Enter the salary or hourly rate amount offered to the applicant. The application status must be 14 (offer extended), 16 (offer rejected) or 22 (offer accepted) in order to enter or update this field.
EXPERIENCE YR/MO (Optional)

The first area of this field indicates the applicant’s years of experience.

The second area of this field indicates the applicant's months of experience.

QUALIFIED (Optional)
Indicates whether the applicant is qualified for the position.

REFERRAL SOURCE (Optional)
The applicant’s referral source. Press F2 twice for values (Decode Table 806).
ADA REQUEST (Optional)
Indicates whether the applicant has submitted a request to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
