HMXNM – Searching for an Applicant by Phonetic Name

Step Action
1 Access HMXNM.
2 Enter the following fields as required:
AGENCY (Required)
LAST NAME (Required)
Enter a phonetic equivalent or the last name of the applicant you want to select.

Press Enter. You will link to HMXXX.

Note: HMXXX allows access to all applicant screens (HMFU1, HMFU2, HMFU3, HN2U1 AND HMWLS).

4 Enter the following fields as required:
SCREEN ID (Required)

In the first area of this field, enter the prefix of the applicant screen to link to for the selected applicant.

In the second area of this field, enter the screen suffix. These fields default to HMW and LS (Applied Postings screen).

Other values are:

HMF U1 Applicant Identification
HMF U2 Additional Appl Info
HMF U3 Applicant Military Service
HN2 U1 Applicant Test Results
PHONETIC LAST NAME (Display)
Lists employees with a phonetic equivalent to the last name you entered on HMXNM.
COMMAND (Required)
Enter a value to determine how you want to retrieve the desired screen.
GD Get for display – you cannot update with this command (default)
GU Get for update
GUH Get for update and hold
AGENCY (Display)
The agency number from HMXNM.
LAST NAME (Display)
The last name of the applicant found with the phonetic name search.
FIRST NAME (Display)
The first name of the applicant found with the phonetic name search.
MIDDLE NAME (Display)
The middle name of the applicant found with the phonetic name search.
APPLICANT NO (Display)
The applicant number found with the phonetic name search.
EMPLOYEE IND (Display)
Indicates whether the applicant is a state employee. Press F2 twice for values (Decode Table 814).
5 Enter X by the applicant name to link to the screen listed in the SCREEN ID field.
6 Press Enter to process the transaction.
