HMGU1 – Assigning an Applicant to a Job Posting

Screen: HMGU1
Prerequisites: HMFU1
Key Fields: AGENCY, POSTING, POSTING EFF DT, APPLICANT NO

Note: Use this screen to assign an applicant to a posting. You may also enter qualifications, experience, accessibility requests, and referral source information on this screen.

Step Action
1 Access HMGU1.
2 Enter I in the SUBCOMMAND field.
3 Enter the following fields as required:
AGENCY (Key)
POSTING (Key)
Enter the posting number from HN3U1.
POSTING EFF DT (Key)
Enter the posting effective date.
APPLICANT NO (Key)
Enter the applicant identification number from HMFU1 (Applicant Identification).
TITLE (Display)
The posting title from HN3U1.
OPENINGS (Display)
The number of posting openings.
POSTING STATUS (Display)
The posting status. Press F2 twice for values (Decode Table 817).
HIRED (Display)
The number of applicants hired for a posting. This field updates from HMGU2 (Applicant New Hire) when applicants are hired.
POSTING OPEN DT (Display)
The date applicants can apply for this posting.
CLOSE DT (Display)
The date the posting will close.
POSTING TB–GRP (Display)
The table type and pay group from H7OU1 (Job Class Table) based on the job class entered on HN3U1.
MIN SAL/RATE (Display)

The posting minimum salary or rate from HN3U1.

MAX SALARY/RATE (Display)

The posting maximum salary or rate from HN3U1.

Note: If the USE MAX SALARY/RATE field on HNKDF is set to Y, the MIN SAL/RATE and MAX SAL/RATE fields display. If the USE MAX SALARY/RATE field is set to N, then only the MIN SAL/RATE field displays.

APPLICATION STAT (Required)
Enter a value to indicate the status of this applicant’s application for the posting. Press F2 twice for valid values (Decode Table 800).
DATE (Required)
Enter the current date. You must enter this date when the applicant's hiring status changes; this field defaults to the system date the first time you enter an application.
OFFER SAL/RATE (Required)
Enter the salary or hourly rate amount offered to the applicant. The application status must be 14 (offer extended), 16 (offer rejected) or 22 (offer accepted) in order to enter or update this field.
EXPERIENCE YR/MO (Optional)

The first area of this field indicates applicant's years of experience.

The second area of this field indicates the applicant’s months of experience.

QUALIFIED (Optional)
Indicates whether the applicant is qualified for the position.

REFFERAL SOURCE (Optional)
Indicates the applicant’s referral source. Press F2 twice for values (Decode table 806).
ADA REQUEST (Optional)
Indicates whether the applicant has submitted a request for the agency to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
