Canceling vs. Deleting on the HM9U1 Screen
Canceling the original entry on the HM9U1 screen provides an audit trail of leave entered and then canceled.
Deleting an entry erases the original record on the HM9U1 screen.
Note: You can review leave types by agency and by employee on HN9U3. This is a display-only screen.
Cancel and Delete Entries
- Access HM9U1 for the employee
- Cancel or delete the leave
- To cancel the leave:
- Find the row with the leave record to be canceled and type R in the SUBCOMMAND field
- Tab to ST and type C
- To delete the leave:
- Find the row with the leave record to be deleted and type D in the SUBCOMMAND field
- To cancel the leave:
- Press Enter to process the transaction
Considerations
- A canceled leave entry or record cannot be deleted
- Leave with a status of I (transfer time in) or $ (which signifies that the employee has been paid for those hours) may not be canceled or deleted
- If you delete a record by using a D, there will be no audit trail on the HM9U1 screen
- If you enter a C (canceling) or D (deleting), the balances will be restored with the correct amount
HRHM9 Screen
The HRHM9 screen is an audit screen that helps you look back on transactions that have been deleted. It will show the date the transaction was deleted and the ID of the operator who deleted it.
