Administrative Leave

Agency heads are allowed to grant a maximum of 32 hours of administrative leave per fiscal year to employees for outstanding performance.

Administrative Leave Lost

Administrative leave is different than annual leave, compensatory time earned or holiday compensatory time earned, as employees lose their administrative leave balance at the beginning of the next biennium.

If employees do not use the administrative leave by the end of the biennium, the agency timekeeper needs to show the total leave balance remaining is lost.

Agencies must delete the remaining balance at the end of the biennium by inserting administrative leave lost (ALL) on the HM9U1 screen.
