Example 10 – Entering a Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) Event (continued)

Now that Mr. Trebek has a record on the HO8U1 screen, you may enter the 80 hours of sick leave on the HM9U1 screen. This example demonstrates how to do this.

Enter Sick Leave Taken on HM9U1

  1. Enter the following information on the command line: GUH (tab) agency number, SSN (tab) HM9U1
  2. Enter I in the SUBCOMMAND field
  3. Enter SLT in the LEAVE CATEGORY field
  4. Enter 10/05/2009 in the START DATE field
  5. Enter 80:00 in the LVHRS field
  6. Enter 10/16/2009 in the END DATE field
  7. Enter FM01 in the REASN field
  8. Press Enter to process
