This section provides information to assist state agencies that process direct deposit payments through the Texas Identification Number System (TINS). Direct deposit instructions can be set up, changed or canceled in TINS via:

Direct deposit for state employee payroll payments cannot be set up, changed or canceled directly in TINS and must be processed via USPS or SPRS/CAPPS, which update TINS during each nightly cycle. However, if an employee chooses a different account for its travel payments, a non-payroll mail code can be set up in TINS with direct deposit for travel or other non–payroll payments.
