Out-of-Balance Condition

Errors

If errors on the allocations create an out-of-balance condition within the generated document, the generated document will reject and remain in batch agency 005 for correction. (For agencies that do not have user class 65 access, you must contact your Appropriation Control Officer (ACO) for assistance with this correction.)

Corrections

It may be necessary to correct the RTI 55 (550) screen profile as well as correct the transaction in error that remains in batch agency 005. Correcting the RTI profile is necessary to prevent future transactions from processing incorrectly.

Attempts to correct generated-batch documents should not be made without initially contacting your ACO to discuss all options.

Note: There are no edits in USAS that can warn the agency entering the ITV about duplicate RTIs setup with dollar amounts.
