Types of Transactions

The Recurring Transaction Index (RTI) process may be used for the following types of transactions:

Payments for goods and services
Pass-through of state and federal grants
Revenue, expenditure and operating transfers
Non-cash accruals

USAS uses Transaction Codes (T-codes) to identify the types of transactions and their impacts. We will explore T-codes throughout the rest of this lesson.
