How to Link to a Screen or Profile From Another Screen or Profile

About this Procedure

This procedure demonstrates how to use the LINK TO function to access one screen from another.

1. Press the ‘HOME’ key to get to the Link To field on a screen.
2. Type the desired Screen ID in the Link To field.
3. Press Enter. The system will retrieve the selected screen.

Note: A user cannot link directly to a transaction entry screen.

Example: Access the 26 Program Cost Account Profile using the LINK TO function.

1. Press the ‘HOME’ key to get to the Link To field.
2. Type <26> in the Link To field.

Note: Linking from a transaction entry screen functions the same as interrupting from any other screen. The system considers that if a user links (or interrupts) to another screen while entering the batch, the user will wish to return to transaction entry and complete the entry.
