Debtor Hold Extract File
File Content
The file contains all state hold records reported by all hold source agencies and is not specific to the agency that requests the file. All agencies that download this file receive the same data in their copy of the file.
The file does not contain the debtors’ addresses because they are not relevant to a hold status. Only the TIN is required to check for a hold status, as it is on the TINS online Payee Hold Information (PYHOLD) screen, and the HOLD status is automatically set on all mail codes of an 11-digit TIN that is on hold, as it is on the Payee Mail Code Information (PYADDR) screen.
The Debtor Hold Extract File (login required) page includes the file layout, fields and type of data for each hold record in the file, including:
- Hold Number
- Hold Reason
- Hold Reason Description
- Hold Source
- Debtor Name
- Bankruptcy Indicator
- Original Hold Number
