Payee Number Requirements

Before payees can receive payments from the state, they must first be set up in TINS with a unique 11-digit Texas Identification Number (TIN).

The payee must also be identified with at least one three-digit suffix that represents a specific mailing address or direct deposit record. The suffix is called a mail code.
