Confidential Information

The Comptroller’s office requires agencies to secure data considered sensitive or confidential. TINS users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of information they view or enter while performing their official duties.

Unauthorized disclosure or misuse of confidential information constitutes grounds for dismissal and could lead to fines and/or imprisonment under Texas Government Code, Section 552.352.
