Reimbursable Expenses Incurred for Reasons Unrelated to State Business
Natural Disaster or Other Occurrence

Per Texas Government Code, Section 660.009, a state employee may be reimbursed for a travel expense incurred as a result of attempting to conduct state business if:

  • The employee is unable to conduct the business because of a natural disaster or other natural occurrence.
    and
  • The expense would be reimbursable if the state business had been conducted.
