Lesson 4: Overview of the SEFA Web Application

This lesson provides an overview of the screens, tabs and functions of the SEFA web application.

Purpose of SEFA

The purpose of the SEFA web application is to capture the annual federal expenditure activity of each agency. Agencies enter revenue and expenditure data and complete applicable notes to the SEFA in the SEFA web application. The Financial Reporting section reviews and compiles these entries. The independent statewide auditor and the SAO use the compiled SEFA information to complete and submit the state of Texas financial portion of the statewide single audit report and the SEFA to the FAC.
