USAS Interagency Transactions
Lesson 5: RTI and Transaction Entries
Payment Distribution Type (PDT)
PDT of T
Payment Distribution Type (PDT) is normally used to determine how USAS payments are combined.
In the case of ITVs, a PDT of T indicates to USAS that this transaction is an ITV and not a transaction that should generate a warrant or a direct deposit payment. If the transaction is entered with a Document Type of T, the PDT will default to T.
Agencies may use other valid document types (i.e., 9) with an ITV for a particular T-code and enter a PDT of T.
T-code 268
T-code 268 Pass-through ITV transactions do not allow a PDT of T for the transaction agency's USAS payment. However, the RTI agency will still use the PDT of T on the USAS 55 (550) screen profile.
Key Points
Keep the following points in mind for document type T:
- It is USAS's ITV indicator.
- Document Type T infers PDT of T.
- PDT of T is not allowed for T-code 268.
Note: When entering multiple docs under one batch, make sure the PDT field has a T on each line of your ITV transactions. If you enter a different kind of document after a T-doc, you'll have to blank this field out or an error will keep the transaction from "successfully adding."
