1 Access HGOU1.
2 Enter R or I in the SUBCOMMAND field.
3 Enter the following fields as required:
AGENCY (Key)
COURSE ID (Key)
Enter an agency-defined alphanumeric code to identify the course. (For example, enter MGMT01 for Management Training I.)
COURSE NAME (Required)
Enter an agency-defined name to match the course ID.
COURSE FIELD (Optional)
An agency-defined field of study associated with this course.
COURSE TYPE (Optional)
Indicates the type of course.

SCHOOL/SPONSOR (Optional)
The name of the course sponsor.
CREDIT TYPE (Required)
Enter a value to indicate the type of credit awarded to employees who pass the course.

COURSE HOURS (Optional)
The number of credit hours received for completing this course.
CREDITS EARNED (Required)

Enter the number of credits earned by employees who successfully complete the course.

Note: If the CREDIT TYPE field contains a value of C, the system automatically calculates the credits earned. CEU credits are 1/10 of course hours, so the system calculates 001.00 for credit type C and 10 course hours. You may override the CEU calculation by entering a different value in this field.

PREQUISITES (Optional)
The course numbers of any classes the employee must take prior to this course. The system displays a warning message if the employee has not completed the prerequisite course(s).
TUITION COST (Optional)
The cost of the course.
OTHER COST (Optional)
Any additional costs associated with the course.
DATE DEVELOPED (Optional)
The date the course was developed.
ACTIVE FLAG (Optional)
Indicates whether the course is active.
