Texas Department of Transportation Hazardous Duty Pay
Background
Underwater bridge inspections are performed to assess the general physical condition of submerged bridge foundations. Certain Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) employees are responsible for carrying out this hazardous duty.
Pay Amount
TxDOT is authorized to pay these employees up to $25 per hour, in addition to their regular pay, for actual time spent performing inspections.
TxDOT will determine which employees are eligible for this special pay.
