SNAP Performance Payments

The Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) may award bonus payments from earned federal funds to certain employees who:

  • Directly contributed to meeting or exceeding performance standards for eligibility determination of federal programs.
    – or –
  • Met or exceeded customer service performance measures developed by HHSC.
    – and –
  • Have been employed in the program for a minimum of six months, remain employed in the program and meet job performance expectations.

HHSC has the authority to determine if employees who have received bonuses under this provision are eligible for merit salary increases during the 12-month period before or after receipt of the bonus.
