Rental or Lease of an Aircraft

A state employee is entitled to be reimbursed for the cost of renting or leasing an aircraft to conduct state business only if the Texas Department of Transportation has determined that no state-owned aircraft are available or that the rental or lease would be most cost-effective, per Texas Government Code, Section 2205.035(e-f).
