Travel by Private Aircraft

A state employee is entitled to be reimbursed for the employee’s use of an aircraft owned or leased by the employee, per Texas Government Code, Section 660.071. The reimbursement may not exceed the product of the highway mileage between the designated headquarters and the duty point and the maximum aircraft mileage reimbursement rate, per Texas Government Code, Section 660.072(1). The mileage reimbursement rate is inclusive of all expenses associated with the employee’s use of his or her aircraft.
