Chapter 7: Terminations/Transfers-Out –
H0BFX – Changing the Date or Reason Code for a Termination
|Prerequisites:||Employee terminated on H0BUS.|
Note: The termination date and/or reason code may be changed only for terminations using reason codes 57, 60, 63, 64, 67 and 68. The termination date may not be changed to a date earlier than the month before the current calendar month and must stay in the same fiscal year as the original termination date. A Letter of Authorization (LOA) will be required if changing to or from reason code 065 (interagency transfer) or 069 (death). If you change the termination date for an interagency transfer (065) after transferring the employee's records (H0BU4), notify the receiving agency so they can update their records.
For a detailed explanation of the requirements for submitting an LOA, see Authorization Process for Changes to Statewide Payroll/Personnel Systems.
