Agency Budget By Organization
About this Procedure
If an agency budgets by organization, both D03 Organization and 24 Index Code are required.
D03 Organization Code Profile
The D03 Organization Code Profile is used to establish Organization Structure of an agency. The Organization Structure is used to split the agency into business units (divisions, departments, sections, etc.). This structure is used to control and monitor different levels of organization within an agency.

Org Code-on the 24 Index Code Profile, tells the system what organization code transactions using that particular index will update.
Note: The Org Code the index updates is not necessarily the Org Code the agency budget is controlled at. In the example above, the agency budget is controlled, tracked, and monitored at Level 3. The system will refer back to the D03 Organization Code Profile to determine what the Org Code for Level 3 is. In this example, the Org Code for the D03 is 1050. Refer to the D03 Organization Code Profile shown on the previous page for more information.
