Lesson 6: Bankruptcy Records
Recalling a Bankruptcy Record
Agencies must first perform a recall action, whether they are setting up a bankruptcy record or the bankruptcy record has already been set up. The ACTION field defaults to R=recall.
Step 1. In the BANKRUPTCY TIN field, enter the 10- or 11-digit number of the debtor or payee and select Enter.
- If the TIN is not on the bankruptcy file, the message BANKRUPTCY RECORD NOT FOUND displays at the bottom of the screen.
- If the TIN is on the bankruptcy file, the message RECORD SUCCESSFULLY RECALLED displays with the details of the bankruptcy record.
