Instructions for Using the USAS User’s Manual
Purpose of the Manual
The USAS User’s Manual is a guide to the Uniform Manual Statewide Accounting System (USAS) for state agencies and institutions of higher education.
Agency System Adjustments
The procedures, keyboard commands, and forms throughout this manual are written for a standard keyboard. The procedures and keystrokes in the USAS User’s Manual must be adjusted to reflect any modifications made in an agency’s accounting system.
Note: Function key definitions and related screens are provided for each screen in USAS Coding Instructions.
Character Entry
Throughout the USAS User’s Manual, characters to be entered are indicated by brackets (< and >).
Manual Time Frame
The USAS User’s Manual reflects the USAS system as of December 1995.
