Cancelling direct deposit instructions using PDDCAN

Here are the steps necessary for cancelling direct deposit instructions using the Payee Direct Deposit Cancellation (PDDCAN) screen in TINS.

  1. Log on to TINS.
  2. Press the Home key on your keyboard to begin at the command line.
  3. Enter the PDDCAN transaction code and press Enter.

This example screen shot illustrates how the screen looks before processing the cancellation.

  1. Review the account information for the mail code to ensure it is correct. After you enter Y (Yes) in response to "CANCEL DIRECT DEPOSIT?" and press Enter, the direct deposit instructions are deleted from the system.

Upon successful completion of the cancellation, a popup box stating RECORD DELETED appears at the bottom of the screen and provides function keys to navigate to other TINS screens for this payee.

  1. After you have processed your cancellation action, view the PYDIST screen to confirm the account instructions have been deleted.

Note: If account instructions are deleted in error, you will have to set them up again in TINS as a new setup.
