ACR 30714 — USPS System Change

Introduction

ACR 30714 created the confidentiality of emergency contact information field in the Uniform Statewide Payroll/Personnel System (USPS) effective Oct. 1, 2011.

Issue

Senate Bill 1638, 82nd Legislature, Regular Session, added emergency contact to the information that an employee or official of a state agency or institution of higher education can elect to make confidential. The structure of USPS needed to be changed to capture each employee’s election concerning the release of emergency contact information to the public. USPS did not previously hold that information.

Solution

USPS was modified to provide a simple way to capture each employee’s election on the public release of emergency contact information.
