Purchases of Real Property by the Texas Facilities Commission

The Texas Facilities Commission (TFC) may:

  • Acquire necessary real property and modernize, remodel, build or equip buildings for state purposes; and
  • Contract as necessary to accomplish these purposes.

TFC may take action and contract to obtain sites it considers necessary for the orderly future development of the state building program.

TFC may select and purchase a site in a municipality in this state to construct a state office building and adjoining parking spaces if the construction is considered necessary to house a state department or agency in the municipality.
