Miscellaneous Expenditures — Real and Personal State Property
Personal Residences
No more than $25,000 in funds appropriated by the General Appropriations Act (GAA) may be used to purchase, remodel or repair a personal residence or living quarters unless the expenditures:
- Are required by court order; or
- Will result in increased safety, significant net cost savings or prevention of substantial waste; or
- Are specifically identified in a capital budget in the GAA.
The governor and the Legislative Budget Board must approve expending more than $25,000.
