Court Costs
State agencies may pay the following court costs incurred in any court with state funds:
- Transcription fees paid to court reporters
- Filing fees for lawsuits on behalf of the state
- Certified paper fees
- Recording fees
- Fees for administering oaths
- Witness fees
- Court costs related to Judgments and Settlements
- Court ordered expenses under Family Code Section 33.007
- Fees for preparing an Abstracts of Judgment
Documentation Requirements [+]
- A state agency must retain documentation in its files that contains a full description of the court costs paid by the agency.
- Comptroller object 7223 must be used.
