Ethics Policies

Funds appropriated by the General Appropriations Act (GAA) may not be expended by an institution of higher education until its governing board has filed with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board an ethics policy that was adopted by the Board of Regents.

The policy must apply to the:

  • Board of Regents and its staff
    –and–
  • Institution’s administration, staff and faculty that are under the board’s governance

The policy must include specific provisions regarding sexual harassment.
