Error Correction Overview

When and how an agency receives notice of erroneous transactions entered in USAS depends on the edit mode used when the transaction is originally submitted.

The edit mode on the batch header determines if data element and funding edits will be done immediately online or during the nightly batch cycle.

If online editing is done, error messages will appear immediately on the USAS transaction entry screen.

If editing is done during the nightly batch cycle and an error occurs, the erroneous transaction will appear on the following reports:

  • Agency Batch Error (DAFR2151) report
  • USAS IT Status (DAFR3331) report
  • IT File report in FMQuery - SIRS new window

Error reports are forwarded to agencies on a daily basis.
