Transaction Entry Overview

This section covers entering a financial transaction in USAS. All of the following six steps must be completed to process a transaction:

• Step 1 – Identify the Appropriate Transaction Code
• Step 2 – Identify Coding Requirements
• Step 3 – Prepare Documents
• Step 4 – Enter the Batch Header
• Step 5 – Enter the Accounting Transaction
• Step 6 – Balance and Release the Batch
