Report 508 Active Positions

This report displays ALL active positions as of any given date. The person filling the position, the budget and actual salary information, and other miscellaneous position details are also included.

This report is a simplified version of Report 165, and replaces the USPS query known as the "165 LITE".

Selection Criteria

Options 1 and 2: All positions with an effective date less than or equal to the END DATE and an inactive date greater than or equal to the END DATE or null.

Options 3 and 4: All positions with an effective date less than or equal to the last day of the CURR MONTH and an inactive date greater than or equal to the last day of the CURR MONTH or null.
Produce Output? Yes
Request Screen HNKPC – Select option 1 or 2; HPRPT – Set up to run automatically with Month-End Reports (enter option 3 or 4 instead of the standard x).
Posting Report? No
Additional Notes Call your USPS representative when ready to run Month-End Reports.

Report Headings

ORGANIZATION CODE HNP.ORGCODE
Displays the organization code of the positions listed.
AS OF HNK.PCEDT OR DERIVED FROM HNK.FLAG69
Displays the end date of the request period.
NAME/VACANT HID.RPTNAME/DERIVED FROM HNP
Displays the name of the employee currently filling the position. If the position is vacant, ** VACANT will appear.
SSN HNH.EMPLOYEENO
Displays the employee's SSN. If the position is vacant, this field will be blank.
POS NO HNP.POSITION
Displays the employee's position number.
PRIMARY PCA/IND HNP.PRIMLABCD
Displays the labor code of the position.
FLSA HNP.FLSASTAT
Displays the FLSA indicator for the position.
HAZ HMP.HAZDTYIND
This field will display the employee's hazardous duty indicator, (N, Y, 8 or 9). If employee doesn't receive hazardous duty, leave blank.
EEO HNP.JCEEOCD
Displays the EEO code for the position.
PAY FRQ HNP.FREQOFPAY
Displays the pay frequency of the position.

Displays the budgeted job class code for the position.

Displays the budgeted functional job class code of the position, if applicable.

Displays the budgeted pay table, group, and step, if applicable, for the position.

Displays the budgeted FTE for the position.

Displays the budgeted salary or hourly rate of the position.

Displays the actual pay table, group, and step, if applicable, for the position.

Displays the actual FTE for the position.

Displays the actual salary or hourly rate assigned to the employee.

Displays the total amount of budgeted monthly salaries.
ACTUAL MO SAL DERIVED FROM HNH.HSALARY
Displays the total amount of actual monthly salaries.
VACANT BUD SAL DERIVED FROM HNP
Displays the total budgeted amount of vacant positions.
AUTHORIZED FTE DERIVED FROM HNP.PCAUTFTE
Displays the total number of authorized FTEs.
ACTUAL FTE DERIVED FROM HNH.ASSIGNFTE
Displays the total amount of actual FTEs.
OVERFILL DERIVED FROM HNP
Displays the total number of positions that are overfilled.
UNDERFILL DERIVED FROM HNP
Displays the total number of positions that are underfilled.
# FILLED POSITIONS DERIVED FROM HNP
Displays the total number of filled positions.
# VACANT POSITIONS DERIVED FROM HNP
Displays the total number of vacant positions.

Note: If the employee term date or the position inactive date is equal to the END DATE (on HNKPC) or CURR MONTH (H0CUS), the position will be displayed on the report as vacant.
