TINS Online Entry Web-Based Training

Introduction

This web-based training (WBT) is for state agency staff responsible for entering or changing payee information in the Texas Identification Number System (TINS).

This is an intermediate-level course that instructs TINS users on basic TINS transactions such as:

  • Payee setups.
  • Changes to existing information.
  • Other payee maintenance actions.

Course Prerequisites

A prerequisite for this class is the TINS Inquiry Web-Based Training. To aid in continuity, take this online entry WBT soon after completing the TINS Inquiry WBT.

Course Objectives

The TINS Online Entry WBT covers:

  • The importance of performing research before entering payee transactions.
  • How to do online entries of payee master and mail code information.
  • How to set up a foreign payee.
  • How to make changes to existing payee information.

Course Exam

On successful completion of the end-of-course exam, you will receive 1 hour of continuing professional education (CPE) credit.
