Report 506 Position Rollover Update Listing or Position Rollover Edit Listing
This report is automatically run during the position rollover at FYE and will display the roll results. It can be requested as an update (U) or an edit (E). It can also display all the detailed roll information or only the summary totals.
Positions that did not roll due to errors are listed first with a brief explanation. These are followed by those that rolled successfully or rolled needing minor maintenance. Changes made through the mass change screen (HNQMC) will be applied to the position during this process.
- An update will create a 09/01/XXXX record for each position and calculate the budget on HNPU1 and HNORG.
- An edit will not update the positions or the organization tables; it will only generate the expected roll results and any errors.
Positions can be rolled based on the actual (A) or budgeted (B) salary as of 08/31/XXXX.

| Additional Notes | This report can be run as many times as needed to complete the position rollover. Entries can be made directly on HNPU1 in lieu of requesting this rollover. The main benefit of this is that a rollover request takes over night to process, whereas an entry online is immediate. This is helpful if time is an issue. |
Report Headings
- POSITION HNP.POSITION
- Displays the position number being rolled.
- EFFECT DATE HNP.HISTORYDT
- Displays the effective date of the position record.
- ROLLOVER DERIVED
- Displays the results of the rollover. The job class code, salary, group, step, organization code, and budgeted annual salary will display for each position that rolled successfully. All error messages need to be researched and corrected.
- TOTALS DERIVED
- Displays the total number of records that were rolled, skipped, inactivated, and received an error. The number of organization records updated is also provided. During an edit (E) request, the same totals will display except TOTAL ORG ROWS UPDATED WITH BUDGET will be 0 since no updates occur during an edit run.
Detailed records are dependent upon the indicator used on HMQU1 when the roll was requested.
