Report 071 Bureau of Labor Statistics Report on Employment and Payroll
This report displays statistical information required by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). The Comptroller's office sends TWC the required information via file transfer on the second working day following the reporting month. For each TWC reporting group within a county, this report lists the reporting group number, the federal (FIPS) county code, the SIC code, the TWC account number (one per agency), the total number of employees who received regular pay, and the total number of female employees who received regular pay.
Information is derived from payroll history as well as from H0801 and HNJU1 via HNPU1.
This report MUST NOT be set up on HPRPT.

| Selection Criteria | All employees with regular pay history greater than zero for the pay period that includes the twelfth of the month. For semimonthly employees, the employee must have been paid in the first pay period of the month. Pay history records with pay dates between the 16th and the 15th of the next month will be included. |

| Additional Notes | For a list of county codes and names, enter the following in a USPS Command line: GD 0,872, H1TZZ Employees with multiple positions within the same county and TWC reporting group will be counted only once. Employees with multiple positions in different counties or TWC reporting groups will be counted once in each county/reporting group total. |
Report Headings
- FROM/THRU DERIVED FROM HNKDATE26 (AGY 0, HNKU6)
- Displays the pay period date ranges for the month.
- REPORT NO HNJ.TECRPTNO
- Displays the number assigned by TWC for the work location of the particular group of employees totaled on that line. For each employee selected, the system finds his/her assigned position on HNPU1, finds its location code, then finds this code on HNJU1 to discover the TWC reporting code.
- FIPS COUNTY CODE DERIVED
- Displays the federal information processing standard county code for the work county for the particular group of employees totaled on that line. For each employee selected from the payroll history record position number, the system finds the appropriate HNPU1 position record, finds the record's location code, then finds this code on HNJU1 to discover the county code.
- INDUSTRY CODE HNJ.SICCODE
- Displays the standard industrial classification code for the work category for the particular group of employees totaled on that line. For each employee selected, the system finds his/her assigned position on HNPU1, finds the position's location code, then finds this code on HNJU1 to discover the SIC code.
- TWC ACCOUNT NO H0801 – THE CODE ASSIGNED IN THE TEXAS FIELD
- Displays the account number assigned by TWC to the agency for reporting employment information.
- TOTAL NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES DERIVED
- Displays the total number of employees receiving regular pay in positions assigned to the TWC report number and county code shown.
- TOTAL WOMEN EMPLOYEES DERIVED
- Displays the total number of female employees receiving regular pay in positions assigned to the TWC report number and county code shown.
- TOTAL NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES PER AGENCY DERIVED
- After the report shows subtotals for numbers of employees with a particular reporting code working in the different counties, the report displays all employees who received regular pay at the agency.
- TOTAL WOMEN EMPLOYEES PER AGENCY DERIVED
- After the report shows subtotals for numbers of female employees with a particular reporting code working in the different counties, the report displays all female employees who received regular pay at the agency.
- TOTAL NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES PER FILE DERIVED
- Displays the total number of employees included on this report/file.
- TOTAL WOMEN EMPLOYEES PER FILE DERIVED
- Displays the total number of women employees included on this report/file.
