Statewide Re-Employment Retiree Report
Overview
The Statewide Re-Employment Retiree Report lists all employees who retired and returned to work at any other state agency or institution of higher education.
Report Frequency
This report runs on the 20th of each month and is transmitted to the agencies and institutions the next business day.
Who Receives the Report
Each agency and institution receives retirement information for return-to-work retirees hired at that agency during the report month. New hire status is determined using reason codes 010, 012, 015 and 017.
What You Should Do With the Report
Use this report as a tool to verify the monthly insurance billing statement for retirees’ insurance. The report may also be used to assist in determining if newly hired employees have lost certain benefits such as longevity and benefit replacement pay.
Report Description
The report lists all employees who were reported with termination reason code 068 (indicating retirement from state employment) and returned to work at any other state agency or institution of higher education. The report lists employees who have been reported using reason codes 010, 012, 015 and 017 during the reporting month.
For each employee, the report lists:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Rehire Information for each employee:
- Agency number returning to
- New hire effective date
- Salary/hourly rate
- Retirement information for each employee:
- Agency number retired from
- Retirement effective date
- Salary/hourly rate
Where the Information Comes From
The information used to produce the report comes from the new hire records that agencies and institutions enter or submit to the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) or the Standardized Payroll/Personnel Reporting System (SPRS).
The Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System (CAPPS) HR/Payroll Hub and Central agencies submit data to SPRS to facilitate statewide reporting requirements. Corrections made in CAPPS are generated and sent to SPRS via an automated batch process when applicable.
