Background

The 89th Legislature made additions and changes to salary administration provisions of the General Appropriations Act (GAA) and Government Code. The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts has updated policies and procedures addressing these changes in Legislative Changes Affecting Salary Administration, 89th Legislature (FPP F.021).

This document contains detailed definitions and restrictions of the reason codes institutions of higher education (institutions) use to record and report salary and personnel actions. Institutions use this information to determine the proper method for reporting salary administration information.
