ACR 43987 – USPS System Change

Introduction
Uniform Statewide Payroll/Personnel System (USPS) Application Change Request (ACR) 43987 migrated on July 26, 2013, to create a new leave type for reserve law enforcement officers to use to take required training.
Issue
Senate Bill 443, 83rd Legislature, Regular Session, effective on June 14, 2013, created a new leave type for reserve law enforcement officers who take required training. The employee is entitled to a leave of absence without deduction in pay for up to five working days every fiscal biennium.
Solution
USPS was modified to include a new leave type of Reserve Training Taken (RTT). RTT can be recorded on the Employee Leave Request (HM9U1) screen, and balances can be viewed on the Leave Balance Inquiry (HM8U2) screen.
