ACR 30764 — USPS System Change

Introduction

ACR 30764 added a protect indicator for certain Office of the Attorney General (OAG) employees in the Uniform Statewide Payroll/Personnel System (USPS) effective Nov. 17, 2011.

Issue

House Bill 1046, 82nd Legislature, Regular Session, protects the personal information of current and former Office of the Attorney General (OAG) employees whose duties involve law enforcement from release to the public. This information includes home address and phone, Social Security number, family members and emergency contact.

Uniform Statewide Payroll/Personnel System (USPS) stores indicators for employees who should be protected from having their information released to the public. USPS did not store a protect indicator for OAG law enforcement.

Solution

USPS was modified to include a protect indicator for certain employees at the OAG whose duties involve law enforcement. The new protect indicator number is five.

The screens below only changed to allow a number five in the PROTECT IND field. Help behind the field now includes a description for the number five.
