ACR 60361 – New PYMENU Screen

Introduction

Application Change Request (ACR) 60361 implements a new screen within the Texas Identification Number System (TINS), effective Sept. 4, 2020. The new TINS Update Menu (PYMENU) screen allows users to select and access the TINS online update screens based on user security.

Issue

When external agency users received access to TINS online setups and updates, the TINS Inquiry Menu (INQMEN) screen was the only available option for display and selection of the online inquiry screens. There was no option to select a specific update screen from a menu selection display. Users were required to remember each online update screen ID accessible only via the Line 1 Entry.

Solution

Create a new TINS Update Menu (PYMENU) screen that displays the list of TINS online update screen IDs to allow a user to navigate to a selected screen. The PYMENU screen can be accessed from:

• Line 1 from a blank TINS screen
• The TINS Inquiry Menu (INQMEN) screen via the PF12-PYMENU function key
• Any update screen via the PF12-PYMENU function key

Change the label for the PF4=MENU function key to PF4=INQMEN to differentiate between the labels for the inquiry menu and update menu function keys.
