ACR 28480 – SPA System Change
March 26, 2010

Introduction

ACR 28480 modifies the State Property Accounting System (SPA) effective March 26, 2010.

Issue

The SPA application (both online and batch) does not currently edit the acquisition method field to prohibit the entry of obsolete values.

Solution

The validation on the SPA ACQUISITION METHOD field will edit for current valid values on the following screens:

  • Add Property (PAPADD)
  • Update Financial Information (PAAVAL)
  • Update Property In Suspense (PAACQU)

Current valid values:

  • 01: Federal Sources
  • 02: State Sources
  • 03: Local and Private Sources
  • 04: Constructed Property
  • 05: Gifts or Donations
  • 08: Debt Financed
  • 09: Assets Held in Trust
  • 13: Property Held in Suspense
  • 99: Other Surplus Property

The system will produce this new error message in both online and batch: Acquisition Method Is Invalid
