CAPPS System Changes - July 2023

The system change information below provides a summary of the new and/or updated functionality that was implemented into the CAPPS Production environment during the indicated month, including the Service Request (SR) number for the change. This information is reviewed monthly during the CAPPS user group meetings.

The current Release Notes format began in April 2023. For additional details about the SRs listed in months prior to April 2023, CAPPS agency support staff can view the SR details via the SR ticketing system.

CAPPS Financials Changes

  • No system changes in July.

CAPPS HR/Payroll Changes

  • Core Human Resources (HR) users can use functional Action/Reason Codes so that they can further differentiate between the action reason codes with these unique codes that are created. (SR 7253)
  • The TX_TL_UPD_AGY_REPORTS_DCENT reports now return data based on the TL Decentralized Super Users security row level so that they cannot see data they don't have access to. (SR 7884)
  • The Summary tab of the TX FMLA Balance Inquiry page displays the FMLA beginning and expiration dates, and the FMLA event status balance, so that user can see FMLA event dates and always have the FMLA balance information available for ease of view. (SR 24807)
  • The leave balance page displays the correct hours that are due to expire. (SR  37962)
  • ELM Training Administrators and Coordinators now have the access and ability to run custom ELM reports and queries without the role that includes the delivered reports and queries. (SR 38774)
  • The SPRS program successfully processes and sends employee addresses that are outside the USA, so that SPRS will be kept in sync with CAPPS. (SR 40317)
  • The Compensation History page reflects the Change Percent so that users can readily see the percentage of the last salary increase. (SR 40448)
  • When an attachment is included in an employee's performance document, the manager must select either 'employee and manager' or 'manager only', so that EPM Administrators or participants can no longer see a manager's attachment in the performance document. (SR 40463)
  • Edits now prevent Payroll Processors from running an off-cycle payroll before the current pn-cycle payroll has been confirmed and from running a duplicate load while another instance of the Time and Labor Load process is running containing the same run control parameters. (SR 40532)
  • CAPPS Recruit Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) report users can filter the Requisition Details report data by Current Requisition Status so that they can review requisition details in selected statuses only. (SR 40725)
  • CAPPS Recruit Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) report users can view the Job Posting Begin Date and calculations for the duration of days from the Posting Begin Date to the Offer Accepted Date and from the posting Begin Date to the Offer Start Date for both, the TX-Candidates Hired and TX-Time to Hire-Candidate CSW Step Duration reports, so that they have oversight of the recruiting process.   • The Emergency Leave report excludes the Chief Justice and Justices so that the report is in compliance with state statute. (SR 41400)
  • Edits fire correctly for transactions keyed on the same day as other transactions in Job Data while using correct history mode. (SR 42372)
  • A pop-up warning message now fires when time is entered on an agency holiday so that employees are reminded that the day is designated as an agency holiday and are prompted to report hours under the appropriate TRCs. (SR 43361)
  • Job Data edits fire correctly when moving an employee from a classified to an unclassified position, so that incorrect Action/Action Reasons cannot be used. (SR 43519)
  • Timesheet edits fire correctly for both salaried and hourly employees, so that users can be prevented from entering time incorrectly on the timesheets. (SR 43723)
  • The Direct Deposit Audit report does not reflect any former employees so that the report shows accurate details of the direct deposit changes. (SR 45249)
  • The system now prevents users from processing salary actions that are outside the designated salary grade, so that all salary actions are in accordance with payroll policy. (SR  45419)
  • The TX SPRS Outbound process no longer created a subsequent SYS Doc after the original SYS DOC is USAS Accepted, so that payroll processors do not have multiple SYS docs for a Replacement (REP) doc or errors with queries and interfaces. (SR 45577)
  • Job Data edits fire correctly for Reason Code 030, so that all salary actions are in accordance with payroll policy. (SR  45770)
  • The employee's full job code title is displayed on the Employee Compensation Changes report so that Core Human Resources (HR) Users can readily determine the employee's complete classification title. (SR 46334)
  • CAPPS FIN-only users can successfully access CAPPS without any login issues due to deleted roles so that they can perform their daily duties. (SR 46813)
  • The percentage of distinct employee exceptions was added to the Time Admin Status report so that T&L Super Users can determine what percentage of time reporters have exceptions. (SR 47245)
